I find it absolutely insulting to get this pop up message when I raise my shipping prices and then in the same breath, THIS is what I pay to send a small box a few provinces over

Canadian Etsy sellers face Etsy's shipping-cost warning popup when raising prices to cover actual Canada Post rates (e.g., small box between provinces), while lacking affordable alternatives in many regions; sellers pay inflated postage but Etsy flags their pricing as suspicious.

Yeah Canada Post sucks ass. I'm fortunate to have chit chats near me which is like 1/4 the price.

Honestly, Canada sucks for sellers I'm learning. There's literally not enough options presented at fair prices. I'm in a town that doesn't have chit chat or stallion as well... I don't find it impacts my sales too much, but I still worry it's a deterrent..

They've had this same pop up since they tried to cut down on people having $1 items with $40 shipping to scam customers. It's been years. It's meant to catch out buyers who aren't doing the math or are lying about prices. It's not for your real prices you have to charge. Click accept and carry on. I am pretty sure it pops up even if you raise it by like 10 cents, lol.

You need to use Chit Chats or Stallion Express my friend

I'm in the UK and get this popup when I am charging buyers exactly what it costs me to send an item. I have learnt to just ignore it, because it's yet another attempt to turn Etsy into Amazon. Personally, I prefer to be up front with customers about exactly what the postage costs are rather than pad out the price of an item with an unspecified amount.

Also a Canadian seller, and also super annoyed when I get this pop up.

Yeah if you’re in Canada and don’t have access to chitchats/stallion and/or DYK (for sending to USA) you are basically screwed on postage costs. It’s really brutal for us here. I’ve been lucky that stallion and chitchats finally came to Alberta in the last few years
