Hey guys, been dropshipping on eBay for the last 8 years. I run a community discord, and keep seeing noobies get suspended. So I decided to make a post about it. There are ways to get your account back if suspended, but prevention is always better than the cure. Here’s how I avoid getting suspended: # Ebay Suspension Prevention Cheat Sheet **Golden Rules** * Don’t let eBay get involved * Always resolve disputes within 3 days # Obvious Reasons **Cases / Returns** * Buyer didn’t ship the item back → refund him and move to DMs, outside eBay’s watchful gaze * Item not received → ask him to check with neighbors, show proof of delivery picture. Still not resolved? Refund the buyer and claim a refund from Amazon by relaying the buyer’s message **Cancelling Orders** * Item too expensive on Amazon → order the item, take the loss, and raise prices. As long as you are net positive at the end of the month, a few losses don’t matter * Item out of stock on Amazon → never click “Out of stock” on eBay. Ask the buyer if he wants an alternative and give him the choice: take the alternative or cancel. If he cancels, always select “buyer asked to cancel” to avoid a defect **Bad Customer Service** * Customer is angry → do not provoke him to open a case. Use polite messages to calm him down. If needed, give a partial refund or coupon depending on the scenario # Not-So-Obvious Reasons 1. Changing account information Bank, phone, address, payment method, username — any change can trigger a review and suspension 2. Contacting eBay support Even a simple inquiry can send your account into review 3. Trying to raise seller limits A manual check can happen if someone looks into it. Wait for limits to increase naturally 4. Going below standard The most common reason is canceling orders and selecting “out of stock,” which creates a defect 5. Scaling too fast / sales spikes A sudden spike in sales can trigger reviews. Scale gradually (100 items a day) 6. Listing expensive items on new accounts Anything above $150 is high risk. Avoid it until your account is aged 7. Listing mainstream brands This can cause a counterfeit check, which leads to a review and suspension I follow these rules, and have been able to keep my accounts alive for 8 years. Cheers. P.S: Reviews don't always lead to suspensions, its just best practice to avoid them to mitigate any chance of a suspension.

Thank you for this I find it fascinating the whole subject I just read a thread about a guy who started drop shipping, in three years made 10k , and now quit that to sell advice to people on how to successfully drop ship. People should just read your advice instead for free!

Okay so this is the eBay side of things. I did the same thing for a while but my main issue was with Amazon suspending me for ordering on different addresses. How do you prevent getting suspended on Amazon?
