I have a jewelry shop on Etsy. For some time now, I’ve noticed that another shop has been shadowing me—closely following everything I do. They’ve been copying my products (recreating everything that involves my creativity) and listing them with the exact same titles and tags. At first, it was just one or two items, but now it seems like this shop has made it a way of life. Somehow, they’ve become convinced that doing exactly what I do will bring them success.
They’ve copied not only my bestsellers but even the items I couldn’t sell at all, listing them at lower prices with the same titles and tags. They even copy my replies to customer reviews. I’m now certain that this person starts each day by opening Etsy and studying my shop.
Is there anything I can do about this? They’re not stealing my photos, but they are reproducing my designs by looking at my images and making their own versions. My products aren’t licensed, so I understand there may be limits to what can be done. Still, based on what I see in tools like Erank, they are stealing my potential sales and harming my business.
I understand that competition and even a certain level of imitation are part of doing business—but being obsessively watched and having every move I make copied feels invasive and unsettling. Is there anything I can do in this situation?
